Venue

Venue is a fintech, shipped as a tattoo app.

The premise: every payment goes digital eventually, so the opportunity is wherever it hasn’t yet. We found it in a craft the establishment had long ignored. The spark was a designer on our team standing over a fresh tattoo with an open wound and no way to pay — cash only, no cash, an ATM run, no change. All of it broken.

Tattoo artists had become creators with real audiences, reachable directly, and no one had built them proper software. So we did: booking, scheduling, and payments in one place. More than a thousand artists, over a hundred thousand sessions booked.

Internally we call it the partnership between artists and nerds. We’re the nerds.
